Refund policy

Last updated 24 September 2026

There are no refunds once work has started. That is said here, on its own page, before you pay anything, so it can never be a surprise afterwards. What you get instead is revision rounds, and free fixes for anything that does not work.

Why it works this way

This is custom work made from your material. Once a deck is designed around your content it cannot be resold to anyone else, so a refund would mean the time is simply gone. Rather than pricing that risk into everyone's invoice, the price stays low and the commitment is that the work gets fixed until it is right.

What you get instead of a refund

  • A style board before design starts. You see one image with the colours, type and look, and say yes or ask for a new one (which uses one revision round). Nothing else is designed until you approve it. This is where nearly every mismatch gets caught.
  • Revision rounds. Essential Design includes two. Custom Presentations include three. Website orders include two. A round is one combined list of feedback. Extra rounds are $7 each.
  • Fixes for anything broken, always. If a delivered file does not open, does not run, or does not do what was agreed, that is not a revision round. That is a defect and I fix it at no cost and without it counting against your rounds.

The difference between a defect and a change of mind

A defect is a game that does not play, a file that does not open in PowerPoint 2016 or newer, a slide whose text does not match the content you sent, or a missing slide. Those are on me, and they are fixed for free, outside your rounds, however many times it takes.

A change of mind is wanting a different style, different wording or a different structure after you have seen the draft. That is legitimate and normal, and it uses a revision round. A new topic, mostly new content, a completely different style or extra slides are not revisions and are quoted before any work happens.

Templates

Templates are digital downloads you receive straight away, so they cannot be returned. If a template file is broken or does not match its description, email me and I will send a working file or refund it.

The one case where money comes back

If you pay a deposit and I cannot do the work, the deposit is returned in full. That includes me being unavailable, me deciding the project is not a fit after seeing your material, or me failing to deliver by the agreed date without agreeing a new one with you. If I cannot do the job, I do not keep your money.

Cancelling

Before the deposit, there is nothing to cancel and nothing is owed. Changed your mind after paying the deposit? Tell me before I send your style board and the deposit is refunded in full. Once the style board has been sent, the work has begun and the deposit is not returned.

Chargebacks

If something is wrong, tell me first. Every problem I have had so far was solved by an email. Opening a dispute before contacting me does not get the work fixed any faster, and it is the only thing that would end a working relationship.

Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page removes any right you hold under the consumer law that applies to you. Where that law gives you something this policy does not, the law wins.
